ENABLE

‘The ENABLE study aimed to explore the experiences of maternity care and mental health needs and support amongst women from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, to identify best practices, and to produce recommendations.

Research staff at the University of Central Lancashire undertook a mixed-methods study to consult with women (service users) from a range of ethnic minority backgrounds, and providers of maternity care and perinatal mental health services across the Lancashire and South Cumbria Local Maternity System (LSC-LMS).

Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the Health Ethics Panel at the University of Central Lancashire (HEALTH 0142).’
